The heart of the OptiMax system is a unique two-stage fuel induction system which uses a burst of compressed air to completely stratify the fuel charge upon injection directly into the top of the cylinder. Mercury V-6 OptiMax outboards are available in 225-, 200-, 150-, and 135-hp.
